Flux Ahead

The current is already moving. Stay one wire ahead.

Flux Ahead is a puzzle game for iPhone. Lay wire on a board that is already live, turn each part into place, and light every lamp before the spark finds a dead end.

How it plays

Three moves on a live board

A few seconds into each level the current sets off from the generator, and it never waits. Every part you lay down goes onto a board that is already live.

  1. 1

    Place

Tap an empty socket to drop in the next part from the tray. You can see the parts that follow, so plan a few moves ahead.

  2. 2

    Turn

Tap a part to give it a quarter turn. Once the current is inside, it is locked in place.

  3. 3

    Light up

Reach every lamp to win. Run the current into a wall or a loose end and it shorts out, and one tap puts you straight back in.

Each level has three stars, and each star is a goal of its own: waste few parts, connect the network fast, and win on the first try. Collect them one at a time.

Seven chapters

Every chapter adds a new part

Eight levels per chapter, all built around one new component. The first ones show you what it does. By the last, you will be using it in ways you did not expect.

  1. Chapter 1

    Power On

Straights and corners. Learn to build in front of a moving current.

  2. Chapter 2

    Split Load

Splitters send the current two ways at once, so one generator can light many lamps.

  3. Chapter 3

    Buy Time

A capacitor holds the current for seven seconds. Spend them well.

  4. Chapter 4

    Crossroads

A crossing carries one wire over another, so two branches can pass straight through each other.

  5. Chapter 5

    One Way

Diodes conduct in one direction only. Point one the wrong way and it shorts.

  6. Chapter 6

    Switchgear

When the current reaches a coil, the switches flip. Send a side branch there first to open the main line in time.

  7. Chapter 7

    Both Hands

A twin lamp lights only when two currents reach it within two seconds of each other.

A look inside

A control panel that glows

Brass sockets, glass bulbs and wire that lights up behind the current. Relays click, the generator hums and every lamp has its own sound.

Daily Circuit

One circuit a day, the same for everyone

Monday's is gentle and Sunday's is tricky. The clock runs from your first try until your network is connected, retries included, so your time is worth sharing. Solve it every day to keep your streak going. Seven days in a row earn a freeze that covers a day you miss.

Endless

How far can you go?

Level after level, each a little harder than the last, until you short out. Then go again and beat your record.

Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements

Compare daily times, streaks, Endless runs and chapter times with your friends, and chase achievements for clean runs, quick connections and parts laid with no time to spare. Game Center is optional.
